Today saw the relaunch of the Hamilton Road ~AutoDuelling League and Cookie Club.  The action was fast and vicious, with ''//seven//'' games being played through the day.

Andreas and Derek were the clear winners today, each earning ten points and the right to select a medium chassis in the next game.

Johnathan earns special mention for firing no shots, but still doing rather well with the ramplate fitted on his car.

The cookies available today were oatmeal chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin.

Today saw three races and two destruction derbies.  Well, they were supposed to be races.  However, I borked the scoring for those events.  Playing bumper cars was more worthwhile than crossing the finish line.  Live and learn.

Andreas continued to demonstrate that his competition doesn't really deserve the name.  In the final battle, an alliance of four light cars fell to his single heavy.  The clip that got on all the motorcombat shows: Andreas rammed Pat.  Pat bounced into Andreas' minefield.  The detonation sent Pat flying to land in front of Andreas to get rammed a second time //in the same turn//.

No pictures this time around, sorry.  I have yet to get better scenery for the camera.

The cookies today were oatmeal chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin.  There were no survivors.

Belated update here.

I'm considering a new approach to playing Axles & Alloys.  It's been suggested (more than once) that letting a player control a team of cars might be better than the one player, one car thing we've been doing.  This makes sense to me.  In A&A cars are simple enough to do this without bogging down the game.  I'll get on this real soon.

And I think I've given up on racing events.  Players are much too bloodthirsty to finish a lap, much less a race.

League points are equal to experience rerolls in A&A2.  However a modified point schedule is in effect.

A race will be halted if there are not at least two cars running.  Survival points only, since no one finishes.

Each player begins with an unskilled driver, and may use light vehicles only.  On earning 10 points the player may use a medium vehicle.  20 points allows the player to use a heavy vehicle.

If a driver is killed the player must start over at zero points with an inexperienced driver.

A selection of toy cars are available for players to use.  However, players are welcome and encouraged to bring their own customized toy cars.  It's the only way to make sure you get exactly the car you want.
